Rock Snowpark Re - Rebrands As Crystal Ridge

In a move that harkens back to its origins, Rock Snowpark has announced its rebranding to Crystal Ridge. The ski area, originally opened in 1987 by John Kaishian under the name Crystal Ridge, will now revert to its iconic moniker.

John Kaishian built The Rock Snowpark (first named Crystal Ridge) from the ground up by having loads of construction fill brought in from projects around the area. If you are lucky, you can still catch Mr. Kaishian out on the hill taking a few laps or helping teach his grandkids.

The decision to return to the Crystal Ridge name comes as the ski area seeks to reconnect with its rich history and foster a stronger sense of community. The rebranding will encompass a fresh logo, updated website, and new branding materials for the upcoming 2024-25 winter season.

“I think what Kaishian built here in Franklin and Milwaukee County is something this community should be proud of,” said Crystal Ridge general manager Riley May. “We want to honor that name as well as give it some new life. Crystal Ridge captures that ‘ski-hill-feel’ better than the previous name. It also allows us to have one cohesive name and branding for both winter and summer business

The name change marks a new chapter for the ski area, but it also pays homage to its legacy. Crystal Ridge has been a beloved winter destination for generations, and the resort hopes that the return to its original name will resonate with both longtime visitors and new enthusiasts alike.
