Zeal Optics Celebrates Earth Month With 5th Annual “Shades For Seas”
To celebrate Earth Month, Zeal Optics is kicking off its fifth annual “Shades For Seas” campaign. For every pair of Zeal sunglasses, goggles or accessory lenses sold globally in April, one-thousand square feet of coastline will be cleaned in partnership with Plastic Oceans International. The campaign will clean coastline across the US, Europe, Australia and Asia.
For the duration of Earth Month (April), for every pair of sunglasses, goggles and accessory lenses sold by Zeal Optics through zealoptics.com.com, Zeal direct retail and Zeal wholesale channels, the amount of $1 USD will be donated to Plastic Oceans International, irrespective of any return of products that might take place thereafter.
“Year after year we’ve helped clean millions of feet of coastline around the globe, and the partnership just keeps on getting better,” said Zeal Optics Senior Director of Marketing, Mike Lewis. “We launched ‘Shades For Seas’ in 2020 for the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and have seen the campaign grow globally as we partner with all of our retailers on this campaign. Last year alone we cleaned over 6.5 million square feet of coastline and we plan to far exceed that this year.”
Plastic Oceans International is a US-based non-profit organization working globally to end plastic pollution and to foster sustainable communities worldwide. They operate with the belief that we can and must act at the local level to create change on a global scale.
