The world-famous restaurant guide has included a total of 186 huts and taverns in the joint project with Steiermark Tourismus, around half of which are in the Schladming-Dachstein region. “A great proof of the breadth and particularly high quality of the culinary offerings in our mountains,” says TVB managing director Mathias Schattleitner. “We also specifically focus on attractive events related to this topic. Our initiatives such as the successful 'Almkulinarik by Richard Rauch' also bring regional cuisine and diversity into the spotlight in combination with an external top chef.”
The mountains in Schladming-Dachstein are appreciated by guests not only for their incomparable panorama, but also for their excellent cuisine. The Styrian region is known for its large selection of Styrian products and delicacies, coupled with regional hospitality and cuisine. Regardless of whether it is summer or winter, the alpine pastures, huts, restaurants and many other locations in the region provide the necessary refreshment after a lot of nature and activity.
