Magic carpet – the latest generation Type N (Stand: 771, Sunkid)
“Almost 28 years ago we developed our magic carpet as a climbing aid for ski schools,” says Emanuel Wohlfarter, CEO Sunkid. “Today it is a transport solution for people, goods, boats and tubes that is hard to beat in terms of versatility, 365 days a year.” In addition to bike parks being built in many places, more and more leisure activities are also being implemented, where Sunkid can score points with its broad product portfolio. Be it complete summer adventure worlds with play stations, family rides in amusement parks, tubing slopes or special Sunkid conveyor belts for rafts in water parks or kayaks in artificial white water canals.
Thanks to project-related coordination of our system (capacity, performance, equipment, individual design), diverse variant combinations three belt surfaces, four belt widths, three gallery versions), easy maintenance and assembly as well as our market leadership (+ 4,000 systems), we are the first point of contact for customers of passenger transport conveyor belts worldwide.
With the new Type N conveyor belt generation – exhibited at stand 771 – Sunkid is setting the current standard in the field of modern passenger transport. After the international premiere in 2022, this generation will celebrate its market launch in France and the USA in 2024, among others. It combines the best quality with optimal use of resources and maximum user-friendliness. In addition, the integrated switchgear (i-CONTROL) offers a new usability concept and sets standards in terms of maintenance and operation of the system.
The heart of the Type N is the new electrical control i-CONTROL, which is used as standard in all systems. The operating system presents the current operating status clearly and clearly and simply guides the user through all functions. Key features include:
- Multi-touch HMI with all relevant information for operation, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Four different password-protected user groups, each with defined release of functions
Digital maintenance plan of the system - Remote access to the electrical control via the Internet for customer and manufacturer (for extended customer support)
- Regular reports via email about the most important operating data (such as utilization, etc.) to various recipients (customer or manufacturer)
With the ceremonial handover of the 4,000th magic carpet to the Hochzillertal Kaltenbach ski center (Austria) on February 6, 2024, Sunkid reached another important milestone in the successful company history and underpinned its global market leadership in outdoor people conveyor belts.
Wood'n'Fun – sustainable worlds of experience made of wood (Stand: 771, Sunkid)
Sunkid supports tourism and leisure destinations around the world with innovative solutions and sustainable products. The “Wood'n'Fun” product group stands for experienced adventures and relaxed moments in nature - with play equipment, seating and themed paths and adventure worlds designed entirely according to customer requirements, made from Austrian larch wood. There are no limits to individual themes.
Whether Kitzbühel (“Streif”) and Sölden (“Almzeit”) in Austria or Peisey-Nancroix in France: In 2023, the Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm joined a long list of well-known customers of Wood'n'Fun wooden letters and large, individually designed play areas a. In the new play world at Reiterkogel you will find adventure play letters that Sunkid already presented at Interalpin 2023, a slide tower, motor skills track as well as a giant Archimedes screw and panoramic resting places.
At the Sunkid trade fair stand at Mountain Planet (771), a “pinball machine” with wooden balls invites visitors young and old to play together: whose ball will get the higher number of points or the furthest away goal? If the sale of wooden balls is a small, lucrative additional business for some operators, Sunkid's balls can be taken home as a souvenir of Mountain Planet 2024.
Dry slopes and tubing – for year-round “winter sports” (Stand: 771, Sunkid)
Ski slopes made of plastic mats will play an increasingly important role in the future, both in alpine and urban areas - especially on practice slopes and in children's areas at low altitudes. Sunkid's Dry Slopes make this winter sport possible 365 days a year.
A 1,500 square meter large building was recently built on Hohe-Wand-Wiese in Vienna (Austria).
Beginner area, where young skiers try out their first turns on durable mats - with a feeling like on real snow. Other large-scale “dry slope” projects that have been realized can be found in Stockholm (Sweden) with 10,000 m² and in Puchberg am Schneeberg (Austria) with 5,000 m².
Our innovative tubing facilities are ideal as an extension to our offering – for mountain railways and ski schools as well as amusement parks, excursion destinations and indoor parks worldwide. These provide maximum fun with the greatest possible safety by making optimal use of the local conditions - on dry slopes or snow.
Sunkid offers everything from a single source: In addition to providing the tubing tires, we also take on the construction of plastic slopes and provide the ideal climbing aid with the original magic carpet. This is demonstrated, among other things, by project examples in La Vallée des Korrigans or Moliets-et-Maa and, in particular, the 130-meter-long tubing slope including a 117-meter-long magic carpet in Schnepfenried (all projects in France).

Mountain Coaster 2.0 (Stand: 128, Caratelli)
Sunkid toboggan runs are among the best-selling facilities worldwide. Since 1996, around 70 systems have been installed in numerous countries around the world. The trademark of the Sunkid Mountain Coaster is the unique monorail system. This not only offers incomparable driving dynamics, but is also cost-efficient and easy to (dis)assemble due to its well-thought-out design.
The world premiere of the Mountain Coaster 2.0 took place in 2023 - developed for fun and action in all weather and seasons. At Mountain Planet 2024, anyone interested will have the opportunity to view the current version of our summer toboggan run at the stand of our sales partner Caratelli.
The Mountain Coaster 2.0 provides updates in the areas of comfort, safety and efficiency for passengers and operators. The completely revised toboggan design increases seating and riding comfort. Family Rides: Tower, Nautic Jet… (Stand: 771, Sunkid)
Sunkid Heege's family rides have been delighting children and families around the world for over 40 years. The hallmarks are ease of use, small space requirements, a high degree of interactivity and maximum driving fun.

The robust and sophisticated technology of the family ride not only allows it to be used in amusement parks and on ( Swimming lakes, but also in locations with more extreme weather, such as in adventure worlds or snow-making ponds in the mountains. Best examples: Chamonix (France) or Mautern (Austria) and Jahorina (Bosnia and Herzegovina), where several family rides have been offering interactive outdoor theme park fun for years.
