Brundage Mountain Extends Ski Season With Bonus Weekend, April 20 & 21
A healthy snow base and a snowy forecast have inspired Brundage Mountain to extend the current ski season. The independently owned resort plans to operate daily (seven days a week) through its standard closing day of April 14, but will reopen for a Bonus Weekend Saturday and Sunday, April 20 and 21 (conditions permitting).
“March brought us an impressive 71 inches of fresh snow,” says resort spokesperson, April Whitney. “That’s the second snowiest March we’ve seen in more than a decade, and that bounty of late-season snowfall is something we’re excited to share with our passholders and other guests.”
Current snow depths on the mountain range from 47” at the base and 86” at the summit. The resort has seen a total of 245 inches of snowfall this season.
“Bonus Weekends are always something we aspire to offer for the benefit of our most passionate snow riders,” says Brundage Mountain General Manager, Ken Rider. “This year, all the pieces came together with a healthy snowpack, a good forecast, and enough room in our construction schedule to add an extra weekend.”
