2024 FIS Freestyle JWC Kick Off In Chiesa In Valmalenco
Following the exhilarating World Cup finals and the European Cup final, the spotlight returns to Chiesa in Valmalenco for the 2024 FIS Freestyle Junior World Championships.
Chiesa in Valmalenco boasts an unparalleled pedigree as the most seasoned host in the history of the FIS Freestyle Junior World Championships, marking its ninth occasion hosting the event, including a memorable edition last season. The venue is also renowned for its history of hosting World Cup competitions, with the last dual moguls event unfolding in spectacular fashion just a few weeks prior.
The 2024 FIS Freestyle Junior World Championships in Chiesa in Valmalenco promises an enthralling competition program spanning three days, from April 4-6. The event will feature moguls, dual moguls, aerials, and the aerials mixed team event, setting the stage for a showcase of incredible sporting battles, profound emotions, and truly remarkable performances.
Initially, the competition program included the dual moguls mixed team event. However, challenging weather conditions in recent days, which brought significant snowfall and necessitated a course rebuild, led to the moguls competition being rescheduled later in the week. Consequently, the jury made the difficult decision to cancel the dual moguls team event.
Despite this adjustment, the event's program remains packed with excitement, featuring a field of the world's most talented young athletes. These competitors have not only excelled at the Continental Cup level but have also made their mark in the World Cup circuit this past season. With so much young talent ready to shine, the anticipation is palpable.
Adding to the excitement, we're thrilled to announce that the competition will be streamed LIVE on FIS TV and our Freestyle YouTube channel. This ensures that fans around the globe won't miss a moment of the action from what is shaping up to be a highly successful and unforgettable edition of the FIS Freestyle Junior World Championships in Chiesa in Valmalenco.
