Dolomiti Superski Highlights 110 Million Euro In Investments

As the 2023 summer season of Dolomiti Supersummer enters the "colorful" autumn phase, in which the forests transform into a sea of colors, the meadows turn golden and the sky reflects a deep blue, it is time to introduce some novelties for the winter season 2023- 24 of Dolomiti Superski to announce.
Fun on the slopes from November 25, 2023
Traditionally, the first ski areas in the Dolomites will open on the last Saturday in November, i.e. on November 25th, 2023, while the others will follow gradually until the official opening on December 5th, 2023. The season on the slopes of the 12 Dolomiti Superski ski areas lasts almost five months and ends in mid-April, with individual areas remaining open until May 1st, depending on weather and snow conditions.
Investments and innovations
The willingness of the cable car companies to invest in Dolomiti Superski was once again confirmed this year in order to maintain the quality level of the offer using the most modern technologies available on the market. The investment volume for 2023-24 is around 110 million euros. "The lift companies in the Dolomiti Superski have once again done their homework this year in order to be able to compete with the international competition. Our customers are the focus and we strive to offer them something new every year," says Andy Varallo, President of Dolomiti Superski. As far as "hardware" is concerned, the focus this year is on snowmaking systems, which are becoming increasingly important,
Four lift systems will be added, replacing existing and now outdated systems. The highlight of the 2023-24 winter season is the new 10-person gondola lift with middle station "Plose 1+2", which connects the village of St. Andrä near Brixen with the PLOSE ski area in the Gitschberg Jochtal - Brixen ski region in South Tyrol. In the Civetta ski area in Veneto, the new fixed four-person chairlift "Casera dei Zorzi - Cornia" replaces the old two-person chairlift of the same name, significantly improving the connection between the ski areas of Zoldo and Palafavera in the province of Belluno. The ski lift was in Val Gardena "Cendevaves" on Monte Pana (St. Christina) replaced by a new lift of the same type,
As for the "software", the new My Dolomiti app is currently being completed, a mobile tool that has become an integral part of the ski holiday in the Dolomites, with numerous integrated services and information for 100% orientation in the largest ski destination of the world. The new tool will be available from mid-November and will be presented separately with further details.
