Buller Ski Lifts Confirms Operations Will Continue Through To Sunday 17 September.
A wintry blast and a welcome top up of fresh snow has improved the cover in resort with more flurries in the forecast for this weekend. Mt Buller has 7 lifts scheduled including Summit, Howqua, Bourke Street Express and Northside Express for sightseeing.
Resort spokesperson Rhylla Morgan shared an update from the resort, “It’s a proper wintery blast hitting up here and there was blizzarding snow for my walk to work this morning. This surprise delivery of late season snow adds freshness and fun to our Retro weekend and will keep us sliding from the Summit to Bourke Street for that bit longer.”
Mt Buller has beginner level ski and snowboard school lessons continuing through this weekend to next, Skyline terrain park is open, snowplay is available on the Village Toboggan slope and sightseers can enjoy chairlift rides. Sightseers will take in the views from the Northside Express this weekend and from Monday sightseers will move to the ABOM Express for a view above the terrain park and a ride to the mid-mountain.
The last Twilight Session of the season takes place on Bourke Street under lights until 8.30pm this Saturday 9 September. The after dark session is included FREE with a valid lift pass or available for purchase for only $33
This weekend (9-10 Sep) is Mt Buller’s legendary Retro Weekend when the mountain embraces the style and flair of previous decades on and off the slopes. 80’s and 90s stage a come-back in the fashion stakes and the good vibes are elevated with a silent disco in the village square, Retro bounce sessions in Air Zone and even a retro Gnome roam for the kids. Neon outfits, mullets, air guitars and perms are not just welcome, they are actively encouraged.
All lift passes are currently on sale for up to 40% off, accommodation deals include Kids Stay Free packages and discounts of up to 30% off and resort entry is also discounted for the spring season.
Ski area operations beyond Sunday 17 September will be reviewed on Wednesday 13 September.
