New Lifts, Slopes, And Lodge: What´s Ahead For Lake Louise
Lake Louise is getting ready for winter. They say:
The first flakes of the season have already dusted our peaks, and we’re hard at work preparing for another fun-filled ski & snowboard season commencing November 10. While we've previously unveiled a few of the new additions and enhancements coming this winter, we believe it's time to provide our cherished guests with an insight into some of the major expansions, upgrades and infrastructure improvements that we’re planning over the next few seasons:
Upper Juniper Chairlift (2024/25 planned opening) - Featuring heated bubble chairs, this new lift will begin just below the top of Lower Juniper Chair and end below the Top Of The World Chair. While the foundational work is underway now, the chairlift's final touches are expected to be accomplished next summer. This new lift should not only enhance accessibility to the upper mountain, but substantially alleviate base area congestion even during peak days.
Richardson’s Ridge Chairlift (2025/26 planned opening) - Skiers & riders can look forward to a vast expanse of intermediate and advanced terrain once this lift is open. Foundations will be installed next summer with the lift’s completion expected in the summer of 2025.
Sunny Side Chairlift - (2025/26 planned opening) - As part of our dedication to novice skiers and snowboarders, we will be installing a new lift in the Learning Area in the summer of 2025. This new chair will provide comfortable and quick access to our superb beginner terrain.
Upper Mountain Lodge - Plans for a brand-new mountain top lodge are underway. With its intended location between the tops of the Gondola and Ptarmigan Chair, this new lodge may see construction as early as next summer.
Snowmaking - The above lifts and runs will require some snowmaking and we’ll continue to upgrade and modernize our snowmaking systems as needed.
Staff Housing - Our team remains our backbone. We’ve already secured adequate staff accommodations to be fully operational this season and are in the process of replacing the accommodations lost in the Charleston fire.
We hope you’re as excited as we are about these future plans! Stay tuned to our website and social channels over the coming weeks and months for more updates.
