Dachstein Mountain Station: Renovation Work Right On Schedule

Ramsau am Dachstein/Obertraun/Schladming. There is currently a lot of activity at the highest construction site in Austria - on the roof of Styria and Upper Austria. The renovation work on the Dachstein mountain station, which began on September 6th, is very well on schedule and is extremely successful. The work has been particularly helped by the optimal weather conditions of the last few weeks.

The focus is currently on the facade work as well as the adaptations in the kitchen and restaurant areas. The foundations of the restaurant terrace have already been completed, while the other roof terrace is already well advanced. A total of up to 70 workers are currently working on the construction site at the same time.

What is particularly remarkable is the perfectly organized logistics of the conversion. The delivery and transport of materials takes place via the aerial tramway, while the materials cableway is used for removal. The use of a crane specially designed for the construction site has proven to be extremely advantageous, as it contributes significantly to the efficiency of the work.

Those responsible are still hoping for good autumn weather, especially since the facades are to be delivered promptly. Electrical and installation work will begin as planned in the coming weeks.
