Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach Opens Next Weekend
Thanks to the low temperatures and snowfall last week, the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski region is starting the ski season: skiers and snowboarders will be making their first turns in the Zillertal snow on Saturday, December 2nd and Sunday, December 3rd. Regular ski operations start as planned on the following Friday, December 7th. – as usual every day at 7:30 a.m. at the valley station in Kaltenbach.
"We are looking forward to enabling the first moments of snow fun in Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach next weekend. The slopes are already in very good shape and ready for the first guests on Saturday," says Martha Schultz, co-owner of the ski region.
The first big highlight of the season follows two weeks later: At the Ski Food Festival in Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach and at Spieljoch-Fügen, free snacks are available to try at the lifts and chairlifts from 9:00 a.m. From 11:00 a.m., the hut chefs serve excellent three-course meals from twelve different countries and skiers and snowboarders enjoy typical country dishes - reservations are recommended. The first-class gourmet menus are inspired by the culinary art of international celebrity chefs, who advised the hut hosts during the preparation.
