As the Pacific Northwest braces for another snow-filled season, the Pacific Northwest Ski Areas Association (PNSAA) is rallying the community for one final push to support the Mountain Works employee education programs through the PNW Platinum Powder Pass sweepstakes. Closing this Sunday, November 12, the sweepstakes is not just a gateway to the slopes but a lifeline for the continuous improvement and educational enrichment of the ski industry workforce.

The Pacific Northwest Ski Areas Association is a non-profit trade association, which represents the interests of ski and snowboard facilities located in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, and California. The Association’s member ski areas – most of which operate on public land – collectively host over 5 million visits annually.

Advancing Skills with Oregon State University Partnership

PNSAA has partnered with Oregon State University to craft flexible, on-demand training programs. These courses are tailored for the digital age to accommodate the dynamic schedules of ski area employees. This modern approach to education ensures that training enhances operational efficiency.

The Lift Maintenance Training program represents the first of its kind: an online lift technician course harnessing the potential of both seasoned and budding lift operators. Meanwhile, the Lift Operations Training equips new hires with the foundational knowledge necessary for ensuring safety and optimizing guest experiences from day one.
