Chris Benchetler & Mammoth Mountain Release New Short Film "The Spark

Mammoth and Chris Benchetler have just released a new collaborative short film today called "The Spark".

Step into a world where creativity meets the thrill of the outdoors. In the heart of the Sierra Nevada range, join freeskier legend, Chris Benchetler, on a journey that blurs the lines between art and adventure in Mammoth.
Meet Chris Benchetler, the legendary freeskier and Mammoth Mountain team athlete, blending his creativity on the slopes and canvas. Growing up on Mammoth Mountain and being immersed in the Eastern Sierra Mountains fueled his passion for skiing and artistry. His parents, who called Mammoth home since the '70s, greatly influenced his journey. Now raising a family of his own, Benchetler still calls Mammoth Mountain home, passing on the legacy.

Backcountry skills and dynamic artistry made Benchetler a force in the ski world. As a founding member of Nimbus Independent, he shaped the artistic narrative in ski filmmaking. His artwork, featured by major brands, reflects the beauty of his mountainous muse.

In 2022, with his wife Kimmy Fasini, Benchetler launched The Benchetler Fasani Foundation, providing solace through nature to those who've suffered loss or hardship. Skiing is his expression, but art is his self-discovery. In his Mammoth home studio, paint covers the floor, and bright splashes of color dot the walls. Benchetler explains, “Creating art is a process of discovery. I’m embracing my self-taught nature and throwing paint at the canvas!”
