Schladming-Dachstein: Marketing Campaign Wins Gold At TAI Advertising Grand Prix

Huge rain of prizes for Schladming-Dachstein:

  • Out-of-home winter campaign wins expert jury rating
  • The Styrian holiday region reached more than 8.6 million contacts throughout Austria with the campaign
  • With the Superbrand award, Schladming-Dachstein is the strongest destination brand in Austria

 

The Styrian holiday region won the gold award at the TAI Advertising Grand Prix with its out-of-home winter campaign. The striking poster motif with "hovering" skiers was placed at 185 locations throughout Austria in November of the previous year and achieved a total of over 8.6 million gross contacts.

The winning campaign was carried out in cooperation with the Schladminger 4-mountain ski area - Hauser Kaibling, Planai-Hochwurzen and the Reiteralm. Mathias Schattleitner, Managing Director of the Schladming-Dachstein region, emphasizes the importance of this award: "This award is an important recognition of our daily work in marketing. It's great that we were able to convince the expert jury with our campaign idea."

In addition to the "Gold" award, Schladming-Dachstein can also win two "Silver" awards for the winter edition of the new guest magazine "FUR DICH" (in the audience rating) and for the Schladming-Dachstein Customer Club (in the expert jury rating) look forward to.

Schladming-Dachstein strongest destination brand in Austria

As proof of the internationally perceived power of the Schladming-Dachstein brand, it was recently awarded the title of “Superbrand” for the sixth year in a row. According to the top-class Brands Council, Schladming-Dachstein achieves top values ​​within the tourism industry. As part of the "Superbrands Tribute Event" in Vienna's Palais Berg, Schladming-Dachstein placed itself in a row with well-known brand names such as Barilla, Soletti and Tui.

About the TAI Advertising Grand Prix:

The TAI Advertising Grand Prix, initiated by the trade journal Tourist Austria International in 1980, was held for the 36th time this year. Due to the inclusion of the public in the voting in addition to a specialist jury, it is considered a unique competition for tourist advertising material. The members of the expert jury are Stefan Schmertzing (founder and managing partner of the agency Wunderknaben), Petra Stolba (head of cabinet of the 1st Vice President of the European Parliament, Othmar Karas), Christopher Norden (Managing Director TAI), Simone Leonhartsberger (graphic designer, photographer & concept developer KOMO Vienna) and Mahmut Orucoglu (Managing Director oruvision).
