To climb to the summits and enjoy some great sensations, Courchevel offers climbing sites equipped and secure. It is also possible to evolve on via ferratas adapted to all levels, from beginner to advanced.
Outdoor and indoor climbing for climbing in all weathers. The wall of the Grande Val, located in the Avals valley, is a site accessible from the Belvédère district in Courchevel Moriond.
Twelve beautiful routes from beginner to expert level are to be discovered on the walls of the Grande Val and the Petite Val, the finely sculpted and very abrasive rock will delight climbers. The surrounding mountain pastures are reassuring with views of the glaciers, Mont Blanc and the Portetta massif.

97 routes to practice on the cliff, chain manipulations of rope, knots and abseiling. This very beautiful limestone rock is ideal for climbing while keeping cool in summer.
In case of bad weather, it is also possible to practice climbing indoors, on the 13-meter-high artificial wall of the Forum in Courchevel 1850; or even on the 11-meter wall of the Aquamotion center which has many routes, some of which are self-belaying.
Two via ferratas on exceptional sites
Halfway between climbing and hiking, the via ferrata offers a concentration of emotions, ranging from wonder to thrill.
To start, head for Lac de la Rosière and its via ferrata overlooking it.
Magical and ideal for discovering the activity, the itinerary has been designed to be accessible to as many people as possible. Everyone can use the Nepalese footbridge and the rope bridge in complete safety, while enjoying a magnificent view of Lac de la Rosière, the surrounding mountains and the valley.
The more adventurous can rub shoulders with the clouds by measuring themselves against the slabs and walls of the highest via ferrata in France: the Via de la Croix des Verdons.
The course of the via ferrata of the Croix des Verdons requires endurance and a strong heart. The route is airy and dizzying: 800m of ascent, 225m of cumulative drop, 3 hours of climbing to finally arrive at an altitude of 2738m. As a reward: an impressive view of the highest peaks of the Vanoise up to the Mont-Blanc chain.
