Brian Head Resort Ready For 4th Of July Fireworks & Celebration

Brian Head Resort, Southern Utah’s premier mountain bike and ski resort, kicks off summer with live music, festive events and activities, and the season opener of the downhill mountain bike park on Friday, June 30.

About 60 percent of trails will be open conditions permitting. Following a huge winter, early-season trail conditions exist with snow on north-facing, high-elevation slopes. Please ride or hike with care, avoid muddy trails and respect closures.

After more than 400 inches of snowfall this winter, Brian Head Resort welcomes summer with more than 60 percent of trails open to riding, conditions permitting. On Saturday, July 1, the Brian Shredder Downhill Race kicks into high gear, featuring America's best gravity racing. The high-speed Giant Steps Express lift connects 18 interchangeable mountain bike trails, including gravity-fed flow trails, technical singletrack, and access to hundreds of miles of scenic backcountry.

Everyone is invited to enjoy live music, great food and beverages, and fun for the whole family at the Giant Steps base area throughout the weekend. The celebration continues on Tuesday with live music from 11 am - 8 pm, a hot dog eating contest, and a fireworks display over a stunning mountain backdrop.

Throughout the summer, Brian Head Resort will host free outdoor drive-in movies, mountain bike and trail races, live music, and signature events, including the Big Mountain Enduro on Saturday, July 22. This nationally renowned race series draws the best mountain bike athletes and teams to compete in a mix of backcountry and lift-accessed stages.

Next, take your senses on tour with the Festival of Flavors & Live Music on the Mountain on August 5. Join the most fun half-marathon race of the year with the Cedar Breaks at Night Half Marathon on August 25, followed by the Country Music Festival and Cornhole Charity Tournament on August 26. Finally, shut summer down in style with a Labor Day Drive-In Movie followed by the annual Rocktoberfest on September 9.

Kids ages 12 and younger enjoy unlimited mountain bike uplifts with the free Power Kids season pass. From lift-served downhill mountain biking trails designed by Momentum Trail Concepts for novices like the ‘Color Flow’ to trails with a wide variety of styles like “Timberline,” Brian Head offers something for riders of all abilities who are looking to progress their skills and get inspired this season.

Adventure Zone

Located at the bottom of the Giant Steps Lift, the Brian Head base area is the hub of summer thrills and family-friendly activities for all ages. Take in the incredible scenery with a scenic chair lift ride. Hike through alpine meadows and aspen trees, breeze down the thrilling Avalanche Tubing hill and Ridge Runner Mini Zip Line, or tackle other mountain pursuits like the Climbing Wall, Peak Shot Bungee Trampoline, a 55′ Enclosed Batting Cage, and Disc Golf Course.
