Van Deer Skis Changes Logo After Dispute With FIS

Van Deer skis, the brand founded by former alpine skiing world champion Marcel Hirscher, has changed its logo after a dispute with the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS).

The original logo featured a deer with a red bull underneath it. The red bull was a reference to Red Bull, which is a sponsor of Van Deer skis. However, the FIS objected to the logo, saying that it was too similar to its own logo.

As a result, Van Deer has changed the logo. The new logo features a deer with the word "racing" spelled out in red letters below it. The word "racing" is meant to emphasize Van Deer's commitment to racing skis.

"We are committed to providing the best possible racing skis to our athletes," said Van Deer CEO Toni Giger. "The new logo reflects our passion for racing and our commitment to innovation."

The new logo has been met with mixed reactions. Some skiers have praised the new logo, saying that it is more modern and stylish. Others have criticized the new logo, saying that it is too simple and does not reflect the brand's heritage.

Despite the mixed reactions, Van Deer is confident that the new logo will be a success. "We believe that the new logo is a strong representation of our brand and our values," said Giger. "We are excited to start using the new logo on our skis and in our marketing materials."

The new logo will be used on all of Van Deer's skis starting with the 2023-2024 season, however the company's domain name https://vandeer-redbull-sports.com/ remains unchanged and it's fair to say the logos on the website are still very Red Bull-ish...
