New MD For Belalp Bahnen AG

Belalp Bahnen AG, including Blatten-Belalp Tourismus AG, has a new managing director in Mario Gertschen. He took over the position from Urs Zenhäuser on July 1, 2023.

Belalp Bahnen AG and Blatten-Belalp Tourismus AG have had a new managing director in Mario Gertschen. He succeeds Urs Zenhauser, who has managed the company since September 2020 and has been unable to work due to illness since January, as explained in the media release.

Gertschen has been with the company since April 2021 as Deputy Managing Director and Head of Tourism and Marketing. He therefore knows the organization and the demanding environment very well. In addition, he has successfully established cooperation with service partners over the past two years thanks to his future-oriented and uncomplicated manner.

The 41-year-old Natischer studied communication science and media research at the University of Fribourg. Before he came to the Blatten-Belalp destination in 2021, he was a journalist, worked for various marketing agencies and worked for six years from 2013 to 2019 as Deputy Managing Director and Head of Communications/Visitor Center at the Unesco World Heritage Site Jungfrau-Aletsch in Naters.
