Prinoth Is Now Official Partner Of The IBU
PRINOTH has successfully supported venues in hosting major IBU World Cup Biathlon events for many years. From now on, we will continue this strong collaboration as official partners. PRINOTH joins the International Biathlon Union’s new partner category “Snow Tech”, providing equipment and expertise for the sustainable preparation of cross-country trails.
“The new category reflects our focus on energy-efficient and resource-saving cross-country trail preparation, as we’ve set out in our sustainability strategy. With PRINOTH, we’ve an excellent partner at our side,” says Daniel Böhm, IBU Sport & Events Director, “Our organizing committees will benefit massively from their technology and know-how. At the same time, PRINOTH will continue to contribute their expertise to the IBU Snow Network, where organizers, industry leaders and scientists share their knowledge in snow management and drive joint projects to reduce the overall carbon footprint and environmental impact of biathlon.”
“With our snow groomers, know-how and connected services, PRINOTH ensures first-class sporting events. Our commitment to sustainability and helping ski resorts and sporting events reduce their environmental footprint is a top priority. We invest heavily in R&D to make our vision of carbon-free snow grooming real and we’re on an excellent path,” says Klaus Tonhäuser, President and CEO of the PRINOTH Group.
PRINOTH is a pioneer in the development of sustainable snow groomers. In addition to the hydrogen-powered concept vehicle, the LEITWOLF h2MOTION, the world’s first commercially available electric snow groomer, the HUSKY eMOTION, will be launched in 2022. “This vehicle is specifically designed for preparing cross-country trails,” says Klaus Tonhäuser, “We hope to see it at many IBU events in the future.”
