Ski Season In Trentino Is Going At Full Speed
Situated in the heart of the Italian Alps in northern Italy and known for its UNESCO Dolomites, Trentino is delighted to look with confidence towards another wonderful winter season without any restrictions, thanks to dropping temperatures, abundant snowfall and excellent work carried out by the operating companies. The region promises fantastic conditions in all the ski areas around the destination, with all the lifts and slopes open.
The region of Trentino offers 800 kilometres of fantastic slopes, most of which are located between Dolomiti Superski (350km) and Skirama Dolomiti-Adamello Brento (almost 400km), boasting a variety of well-groomed pistes and served by 227 fast and comfortable lifts. Thanks to major investments into the facilities and the technology of snowmaking, skiers can expect resorts covered in great quality snow, ready to be enjoyed during various skiing activities this season.
Andy Varallo, president of Superski Dolomiti, has said: ‘The snow conditions in the ski resorts of the Dolomites are excellent. The rise in temperatures between Christmas and New Year's was expected and has not led to any issues. The ski lifts of the Dolomiti Superski are open and running as per usual. And more snowfall is expected, which will ensure great conditions for skiers and snowboarders visiting the region’.
Fabio Sacco, president of the Skirama consortium, says: ‘Thanks to the development of technologies at our resorts, we are able to ensure fantastic conditions in the ski areas to meet our guest’s needs. We have equipped the districts with innovative snow-making technologies, created artificial basins and implemented solutions to minimise the use of water resources. It’s essential we keep evolving and implementing more initiatives and strategies in the coming years and continue to guarantee mountain tourism, which is crucial for the local population’.
The Trentino region is a fantastic choice for a great ski winter holiday without the crowds or a hefty price tag compared to other European ski resorts. It is a lesser-known ski destination with wonderful world-class resorts, well-groomed pistes and outstanding snow conditions.
