A new snow groomer has been in use on the slopes of Bergbahnen Destination Gstaad AG since this winter. The special? It's not red, not blue, not black, no, in a golden color it makes for golden slopes - a world first!

At the beginning of the year, the new "New Leitwolf LT t5" snow groomer was delivered to BDG AG. After a waiting period of around 6 months, it was put into operation in time for the start of the season and with the first snowfall. Equipped with an automatic winch, it is ideal for use throughout the area. With the help of the modern SnowSAT snow depth measurement, the "Golden Leitwolf" continuously determines the amount of snow under the vehicle down to the centimeter and shows the driver how the snow on the slope can be optimally shifted.

The existing snow can be used efficiently, enabling savings of up to 25% in operating costs in the areas of snowmaking and slope preparation. The entire fleet of BDG AG has been equipped with this technology for several years, and those responsible appreciate the benefits. The 200 kilometers of pistes in the Skiwelt Gstaad are excellently prepared every day - golden pistes, also thanks to the newest, golden, member of the BDG fleet.
