Maier Sports Launches New Ranges For 2024, Improves Its Alpine Ski Offering, Expands Closed Loop Recycling Programme

Maier Sports is launching a number of new ranges at the SLIDE OTS Winter Trade Show (Telford International Centre, January 9-11, 2024) that include products in the Alpine Ski, Ski Touring and Outdoor categories, all for the AW2024 collection.

Alpine Ski has been a key part of the Maier Sports DNA over several decades but whilst previously it fell under the umbrella of ‘Snow Mountain’ that included touring and cross country, it is now once again a stand-alone collection. The introduction of new Alpine Ski apparel will form a significant part of the 2024-25 strategy due to popular demand from customers.

Linda Torstensson, from Maier Sports UK, said: “Maier Sports has listened to the feedback from its customers and the consumer highlighting how popular its Alpine Ski collection really is and how important it is for them. Whilst ski touring has developed alongside Alpine, the company has decided to ensure its core product category is once again brought the forefront of the collection”.

In the Outdoor category, the introduction of the new ‘Winter’ trousers follows the 2023 season product that includes the Lavalan Wool – a 100% natural product that has exceptional insulation and breathability qualities, insulation. This development of the Metor and Nil/Lulaka ‘family’ brings a key message that simplifies communication between the brand and its customers.

The NFC (Near Field Communication) technology that has been developing over the past two years is being rolled out into more of the outdoor collection too. This 100% fully sustainable clothing concept called design2recycle–recycle2design is an innovative and leading programme by Maier Sports that fully closes the circle that sees products reincarnated as new ones at the end of their natural lives.
