No one is able to bring these experiences to life more intensively than those who live in these places.

Also for this edition, there will be no shortage of new characters, able to arouse the curiosity of participants even more, through the various activities on offer from June to September.

ALL THE APPOINTMENTS

NEW: A DAY ON THE FARM

Spending a day on the farm together with Rosa and Tone is an experience that takes participants back to an ancient world, kept alive by people who love their land and tend it with tenacity and devotion. Rosa and Tone are old-fashioned farmers. Together they run the family farm, one of the oldest in Alta Badia, dating back to the 13th - 14th centuries. With simplicity they pass on their passion for the work they have always done, which is to take care of the land; a feeling they have also passed on to their four children. In addition to seeing the farmers at work, during the events of 13 July and 24 August from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., you have the opportunity to lend a hand in getting the animals out of the cowshed or cutting the grass with a scythe. At the end of the morning, during lunch, you can taste the simple but genuine dishes of Ladin cuisine, freshly prepared by Rosa.

NEW: PREPARING HONEY

The role of bees is crucial not only for food production, but also for the environment, as they are responsible for around 70 per cent of the pollination of all living plant species on the planet. Milio, a primary school teacher for many years, will tell participants everything there is to know about bees and how they produce honey, during the events on 3, 11 and 17 August and 27 September. It will be interesting to listen to various stories about the beekeeper's profession and to actively participate in the production of honey... and tasting. An experience that is not only instructive, but also tasty.

NEW: HOW TO PARTICIPATE AND BE A PROTAGONIST IN THE FERRAGOSTO PARADE

The Ferragosto parade is an event with a long tradition in the lives of the inhabitants of the village of La Villa. The event in the village centre takes place every year on 15 August and involves a themed parade - this year's theme is 'in the mountains' - organised by the local associations. Together with Daria, who for some years now has been the organiser in charge of the parade, an expert in Ladin art and customs, as well as editor of cultural columns for the Ladin editorial staff of RAI, it will be possible to get to know the behind the scenes of the event, help set up one of the floats the days before the parade, and then get on it and parade through the village on the day of the event.

PHILOSOPHICAL WALK WITH MICHIL COSTA

Michil Costa, president of the Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel, as well as hotelier, will accompany the participants of Nos Ladins - We Ladins on 12 July on an enlightening philosophical walk. What does it mean to be a tourist today? What is our relationship with nature? Are we just consumers or can we contemplate new concepts of hospitality based on responsibility, respect and sustainability? These and many other questions will be answered during a walk with Michil Costa, proponent of a new way of understanding hospitality.

OBSERVING NATURE THROUGH A CAMERA

On 22 June, 6 July, 14 and 28 September, together with Matteo, a young hiker and nature photographer, and Giorgio, an experienced local mountain guide, you will discover unusual and memorable scenery to capture with the camera lens. While Matteo will dispense advice on lenses, light and framing, Giorgio will bring participants in the right place at the right time. The itinerary will change for each meeting, ranging from a leisurely walk to admire the sundown on the Gardenacia plateau, to a more adrenaline-filled morning climb on the Piz da Lech.

FROM FORESTRY WORK TO A PASSION FOR ART

Matthias is 26 years old, a forestry worker by trade and sculptor by passion. Wood is undoubtedly his element. On 18 and 31 August, the participants in Nos Ladins - We Ladins will have the opportunity to meet Matthias at his home and go into the woods in search of the raw material: pieces of wood. These will be processed in his workshop, where it will be possible not only to watch Matthias at work and admire his sculptures, but also to create a work of art, starting simply from a piece of wood.

MAKING BUTTER THE OLD-FASHIONED WAY

Marisa is a woman who dedicates her time to working on the family farm, which she has been running for several years with energy and passion. During the events on 5 July, 2 August and 6 September, Marisa will teach how to make butter from fresh milk, at all stages of production, from milking the cows to the end result. Throughout the production process, you can see how important tradition and old-fashioned values are.

Inscriptions can be made online at www.altabadia.org<http://www.altabadia.org>, or by contacting the Alta Badia Tourist Offices.

EVENT: MOMËNC LADINS - LADIN MOMENTS. AN IMMERSION IN THE LADIN WORLD OF YESTERYEAR

The event on August 20 takes place in La Val, a village in Alta Badia, which has preserved much of the Ladin farming culture. It is a sort of treasure hunt, with several stations to reach, walking through the typical "viles", the Ladin farmsteads. Each station will allow participants to learn something new about Ladin culture, traditions and food. During the itinerary you will meet people who live in these places, you will be able to watch the mowing of the meadows, the production of dairy products such as butter or cheese, or the carving of wood. You will be able to visit the stables of the local farmers, the workshops of the craftsmen and taste a few samples of Ladin cuisine, a simple but genuine cuisine. As in any self-respecting treasure hunt, you will have to search one by one for all the clues that will lead you to the treasure. To take part, just pick up your starting package at the information office in La Val on the day of the event.
