Jack Wolfskin Introduces Zero Tape Technology In New Tapeless Jacket
Jack Wolfskin, the technical and sustainable outerwear manufacturer, is continuing its sustainable product line with the Tapeless Jacket, available in Fall 2022. The Tapeless Jacket eliminates 60 feet of seam-seeling tape and introduces a new seam construction.
“Seam tape is the weakest component used in the production of waterproof outdoor apparel. The weight of the seam tape and glue used to keep it in place limits the breathability, mobility, and durability of products. Jack Wolfskin’s Zero Tape Technology is an innovative solution that created a more breathable alternative to seam tape that won’t leak or fail.
“With comfort and performance front of mind, Jack Wolfskin designed the Tapeless Jacket with its proprietary Texapore Core Fuse Stretch Ripstop, a 3-layer fabric for superior weather protection and comfort. The sleek design has waterproof zippers, an adjustable hood, hem and cuff adjustments, and a chest pocket. Additionally, the unique cut of the Tapeless Jacket features no shoulder or hip seams, helping to eliminate irritation when worn with a backpack. At its core, the Tapeless Jacket is a breathable, comfortable shell designed for hikes and adventures that demand high-quality technical apparel,” said Jack Wolfskin.
The men’s Tapeless Jacket is available in two colors and weighs 13.5 ounces (size medium). For more product information, go here.
