Quiksilver Releases “Surf The Mountain”

Quiksilver has officially released its newest collection, Surf the Mountain, a full range of snow gear featuring pieces designed and tested by Quiksilver athletes. From jackets to bibs, pants and fleece, the collection is complete with performance outerwear created and worn by some of the world’s best riders, such as Travis Rice, Sammy Carlson, Red Gerard and Bryan Fox. Quiksilver stays true to its roots in this new collection by producing technically advanced gear that delivers equal style and function and represents the brand’s adventurous spirit to surf the mountain.

Surf the Mountain is a line for snowboarders and skiers alike, placing emphasis on high-performance and sustainably made pieces. The collection includes products made with Quiksilver DryFlight and Gore-Tex technology for supreme waterproofing and ultimate breathability. Select jackets in the range are made with Quiksilver WarmFlight insulation technology, which combines excellent heat retention with high breathability and low weight. Quiksilver collaborated with top snow athletes Travis Rice, Sammy Carlson, Olympic gold medalist Red Gerard and Bryan Fox to develop athlete-designed and -tested jackets and bibs capable of withstanding the elements in all conditions.

Quiksilver is sustainably minded, prioritizing recycled materials and products made with the future of the planet in mind to reduce their carbon footprint. Statistics below are unique to the Surf the Mountain collection:

• 100% of black linings are solution dyed, using significantly less water, energy and chemicals.
• 100% of insulation is made from recycled polyester.
• 90% of shell fabrics are made from certified recycled polyester or nylon.
• 80% of water-repellent treatment is PFC free.
• 78% of Quiksilver’s fabrics meet the strict safety and environmental requirements of the bluesign® criteria, produced in a resource-conserving way with minimum impact on people and the environment.
• Select items are crafted from Blue Ocean nylon yarn, made from used or discarded buoy, which renders good thermal insulation and low-density properties — extremely suitable for outerwear.
