Advent, Advent, a little light is burning...The pre-Christmas period will be magical again in the PillerseeTal. Numerous contemplative Advent events make this time something very special again. A romantic insider tip in the PillerseeTal is the "Christkindldorf am See", which opens its doors for the third time on two weekends in Advent and invites young and old to experience the magic of the pre-Christmas period with all their senses.

The nights are getting longer, the snowflakes are falling gently on the fields and Christmas is not far away! In order to shorten the wait for the Christ child, the traditional events in the PillerseeTal region invite you to come, marvel and linger. In the midst of the dreamy winter landscape, the covered slopes of the surrounding mountains and the snowy peaks, the best time of the year is traditionally sweetened in December with homemade biscuits, hot mulled wine and delicious roasted almonds. Candlelight and fire bowls, storytellers and melodic trumpeters bring contemplative moments. Homeliness and romance, as in the past, in front of a dreamy mountain backdrop.
The people of Pillerseetal love Advent - always have. Each of the five villages - Fieberbrunn, Hochfilzen, St. Jakob in Haus, St. Ulrich am Pillersee and Waidring - with a total of around 10,000 inhabitants, nestled in the mountains in the middle of the Kitzbühel Alps, has its own special traditions and customs. The magical Advent in the PillerseeTal, which opens its doors for the third time this year, builds on this. Half the valley is committed to make it a little bit nicer. When the shore in St. Ulrich am Pillersee appears in the bright glow of candles and torches, when there is a wonderful scent of waffles, punch and mulled wine and the sound of brass bands is in the air, the most beautiful time of the year has begun: it opens on two Advent weekends the romantic Christmas village on the lake opens its doors for the third time and invites young and old to experience the magic of the pre-Christmas period with all their senses. Meanwhile, the little ones look forward to getting closer to cuddly four-legged friends in the petting zoo, take part in the program specially put together for them, or listen to the storyteller, who enchants with fairy tales and myths.

Also this year a free regional bus will take you in the PillerseeTal to the Christkindldorf am See . Anyone who chooses to travel sustainably by shuttle bus will receive a small surprise in the Christkindldorf am See. The timetable can be accessed from November at www.pillerseetal.at .
Throughout the pre-Christmas period, the PillerseeTal attracts visitors with many other atmospheric events , such as the traditional nativity scene exhibition (November 26/27), the Barbara market or the procession of St. Nicholas and the Krampus run (December 4).
