ISPO Munich 2022—The Highlights
We are only a week away from ISPO Munich with its new start date at the Messe München fairgrounds and its new concept called “New Perspectives on Sports”. A wide-ranging program awaits you from November 28 to 30 in a total of 10 halls: more than 1,500 exhibitors from about 50 countries and a conference filled with prominent speakers, many widely known athletes and the presentation of the ISPO Cup to Patagonia.
Many active and former athletes will also visit ISPO Munich 2022:
✓ On the first day of the trade fair, Olympic tennis gold medalist Alexander Zverev and his brother Mischa will take part in a news conference held by improvr and discuss the latest training technologies in professional sports—including those that use virtual reality.
✓ In a live recording for the Red Bull podcast, professional cyclist and ski mountaineer Anton Palzer will discuss biohacking with other experts.
✓ Olympic decathlon gold medalist Christian Schenk will join Denise Schindler, a bicycle racer and a Paralympic medalist, and social entrepreneur Katharina Inselkammer in a discussion about diversity and lobbying for good.
✓ Others who have agreed to attend are Felix Neureuther; Alpinist Kazuja Hiraide, the 17th winner of the Piolet d’Or Award and the first Japanese athlete to capture this “Academy Award” of mountaineering; the multi-world champion surfer Björn Dunkerbeck; the skier and Paralympic gold medalist Andrea Rothfuss , and the Portuguese ultra trailrunner João Andrade.
✓ Thomas Huber of Huber Buam will present his new book, “In den Bergen ist Freiheit” (Freedom Is Found in the Mountains), at the Young Pirates’ booth.

Monday, November 28
✓ For three full days, the latest developments in the world of sports will be discussed on the main stage of the newly created Future Lab: The conference will open at 10 a.m. on the first day of the trade fair with a panel discussion about the future of winter sports. The issues will be discussed by Martin Dolezal (Snowsports Academy), John Yang (Helly Hansen), Bernhard Ratschiller (Snow 51) and Gerald Stöllnberger (360 Perspektiven)
✓ At the same time, Schöffel will hold a news conference with Felix Neureuther.
✓ During a Meet & Eat session held at noon on the first day of the trade fair, you can get to know Lena Haushofer, the Exhibition Director of ISPO Munich, during an informal lunch.
✓ The Textrends 2022 Awards will also be presented at noon.
✓ An Athlete Talk will be held at 1 p.m., an event moderated by Imke Salander that will include Björn Dunkerbeck, Kazuya Hiraide, Andrea Rothfuss and João Andrade.
✓ A guided press tour will be held from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and showcase selected innovations at ISPO, in particular those related to sustainability.
✓ At 4:45 p.m., Olympic tennis gold medalist Alexander Zverev, his brother Mischa and the company named improvr will hold a news conference.
✓ The highlights of the first trade fair day will be the presentation of the ISPO Cup to Patagonia and the ISPO Munich Party that starts at 6 p.m.

Tuesday, November 29
✓ One of Tuesday’s highlights will be the live presentation of the winners of the ISPO Awards starting at 1 p.m.
✓ At 5 p.m., the ISPO Brandnew Live Pitch Final will be held with three finalists. The winners will be selected during a vote by the audience, and the awards will be presented in three categories: Performance, Body & Mind / Outdoor & Adventure & Snow Sports / Sports Technology & Platforms.
✓ At 5:30 p.m., Jack Wolfskin will hold a session with the filmmaker and wildlife photographer Ronan Donovan.
✓ At 6 p.m., Thomas Huber (Huber Buam) will read from his new book, “In den Bergen ist Freiheit”.

Wednesday, November 30
✓ On the final day of the trade fair, ISPO will present the Consumer Insights Report & Alibaba.com Insights containing facts about brands and sports trends starting at 12:30 p.m.
✓ At 1 p.m., the Diversity and Inclusion Panel will open its discussion. The panel will be comprised of former Olympic decathlon gold medalist Christian Schenk, the social entrepreneur Katharina Inselkammer and the bicycle racer and a Paralympic medalist Denise Schindler.
