Finn Bilous Announced As FWT23 Wildcard
New Zealand shredder Finn Bilous will join the FWT23 roster in the ski men’s category as a season wildcard. Although still only in his early twenties, Finn has already made a name for himself in both freeride and freestyle disciplines, and will surely shake up proceedings at each tour stop.
Finn entered the international spotlight after winning 3rd place in the Big Air competition at the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup at Cardrona in 2018. He also competed in the slopestyle event at the Winter Olympics in both PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022, with respectable finishes in both outings, narrowly missing the final in 2018.
He is also comfortable in the big mountains, consistently performing well in Qualifier events in his home country in recent years, including a fourth place at the Qualifier 2020 The North Face Frontier 4* presented by the Winter Games NZ. Further afield, Finn earned a second place at Qualifier 2021 Engadinsnow by Dakine 4* #1, as well as finishing in a respectable sixth place among a star-studded field at Fieberbrunn FWT22 Finals, where he competed as an event wildcard.
"I’m honored to be invited to compete on the FWT. My goals for this season are to stay true to the type of riding that inspires me, do my best to adapt my skiing to these larger venues, and learn from all the other talented riders on tour.” – Finn Bilous, FWT athlete
The young kiwi has amassed a solid following in the industry, owing to his creative brand of skiing. His freestyle background oozes steeze in the big mountains, with the kind of progression and high-octane performance that belongs on tour.
