Another FWT Wildcard; Tanner Hall For Kicking Horse Golden BC
As regular as the change of seasons, another FWT wildcard comes along to ensure that people like SIN keep the tour on the front page.
One of the undisputed big names of modern-day skiing, Tanner Hall, has been given an event wildcard for the first stop of FWT23. The ‘Ski Boss’ – as he is commonly known – has two top-ten finishes in FWT events at this venue, making him a dangerous inclusion to the regular roster.
Tanner grew up skiing at Big Mountain, Montana, and from a young age showed promise in various ski formats, including freestyle, moguls and aerials. He quickly excelled in freestyle skiing and became one of the most influential riders of his generation, winning numerous medals at the X Games and the US Open competing in big air, slopestyle and superpipe. Adding to his prolific resume is a long list of movie parts with internationally renowned companies – such as Poor Boyz Productions and Matchstick Productions – as well as co-founding Armada with a group of industry legends.
The Ski Boss has enjoyed two seasons on the FWT – 2019 and 2020 – and achieved a second-place finish at FWT Hakuba, Japan, in his first year. His natural style and confidence on the snow make him an exciting addition to the first stop of FWT23 but, with an elite roster packed with insane talent, will his skills still stack up? Be sure to tune in to find out.
As with all FWT events, Kicking Horse Golden BC will be shown live at www.freerideworldtour.com
