USA Nordic Announces Hotel Saranac As An Associate Partner For The U.S. Cup Series

USA Nordic announced Hotel Saranac as an Associate Partner for the U.S. Cup Series in Lake Placid, Salisbury, and Brattleboro.

Located in Saranac Lake, New York, the hotel was originally built and opened in 1927, in which the property had been in continuous service as a hotel until it closed in December of 2013. The new Hotel Saranac was restored to its former glory and re-opened in January of 2018. The historic restoration featured the complete renovation of the building, including but not limited to, the guest rooms, restaurant and bar, ballroom, terrace, retail and spa.

Hotel Saranac has had some notable accomplishments over the past few years, winning the “Hilton Strong Award” for the highest level of customer service for all hotels worldwide. Other awards and accomplishments include the “Historic Preservation Award” from New York state (2019), “Excellence in Historic Preservation” from The Preservation League of New York State (2018), and the “Hilton Development of the Year” (2017).

“It’s a great opportunity to support the hard working USA Nordic Sport athletes,” said General Manager of the Hotel Saranac, Jacob Kipping. “At the same time, we are also happy to showcase both the Village of Saranac Lake and the Hotel Saranac. With this partnership, the level of hospitality at the hotel and all of the surrounding businesses, will be on full display."

Hotel Saranac is very excited for their first opportunity to work with Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping athletes and staff through USA Nordic, as they have enjoyed following local athletes compete over the course of the years.

“It’s a dream come true to be partnering with the Hotel Saranac,” said USA Nordic Executive Director Bill Demong. “This historic property has been defining the skyline of Saranac Lake for nearly a century. With the incredible upgrades to their property by the Roedel Group, this is the perfect partnership for USA Nordic’s lodging needs for the upcoming Continental Cup, U.S. Cups, as well as events and training camps in the future.”

Hotel Saranac reopened in 2018, serves as the social hub of Saranac Lake - a spirited historic hotel offering superior guest service and modern amenities. The landmark hotel features 102 smartly designed guest rooms and suites; Campfire Adirondack Bar & Grill, a sophisticated yet inviting restaurant and bar; the Great Hall Bar & Terrace, Ampersand Salon and Spa, a sanctuary that embraces the spirit of the mountains; an inspired variety of indoor and outdoor meeting space; and a wealth of camp-like experiences begging to be explored, from swimming and biking to kayaking and skiing.
