PillerseeTal Is Now Austria's Largest Bike Region, Over 80 Km Of Lines & Trails - 9 Cable Cars - 7 Mountains

The name is the game. Austria's largest bike region keeps what it promises. Over 80 kilometers of lines & trails, 9 mountain railways on 7 mountains, 3 large practice areas for kids and beginners, alpine gravel routes for every taste and a limitless network of mountain bike trails for all levels of fitness. A playground for bikers of all genres.

Austria's largest bike region connects the extensive mountain bike area of Saalbach Hinterglemm with the Epic Bikepark Leogang and the Bike Area Streuboden in Fieberbrunn, which was created in 2021. The result: An incomparable variety of trails with 80 kilometers of lines & trails for all skill levels and an unparalleled cross-state network of mountain bike and gravel trails .

From beginner to pro
Work your way up! The start of the new sport is easy in Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, because there is a practice area for kids and beginners in every village. The Learn to Ride Park at the foot of the Kohlmaisbahn offers the ideal terrain for beginners with four "mini lines", a magic carpet and an uphill trail for easy ascents and a circuit with various small obstacles. A 10,000 m² practice area awaits in Leogang: the Riders Playground. Beginner trails with low gradients, a Worldchamps pump track and the GoPro bag jump offer ideal opportunities to hone your technique. On the three easy lines in the Easy Park Obingleitn in Fieberbrunn, with numerous curves, north shores and stone passages, you can get used to biking and warm up for the flow trail.

As soon as you have mastered the cornering technique and your position on the bike is stable, you can go onto one of the many beginner-friendly lines, which with their playful features also provide the necessary variety and progression options for advanced riders.

Little by little you work your way up to the increasingly difficult trails, or rather down, until, after a few years of experience, you dare to tackle the “Speedster” World Cup downhill route or the X-Line, which is peppered with fields of roots and stones. Before you turn onto these stretches, however, all other lines and trails should definitely be easy and without having to push yourself in between.

Limitless mountain biking
The parameters of the next tour depend solely on your own condition, because the cross-state mountain bike trail network is almost limitless. Individual tour suggestions that can be combined in numerous ways can be found in Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. It's up to you whether the next tour is a leisurely alpine tour, a scenic panoramic tour with lift support or a challenging marathon. Either way, you will be strengthened in one of the numerous huts and spoiled after a lazy day.

Gravel in the Alps
Gravel biking is much more than just a discipline - it's a lifestyle. Whether touring, fast off-road laps on gravel roads and forest paths or leisurely exploration tours: Gravel biking always promises a special experience. The region, which has so far been largely known as a mountain bike destination, turns out to be an insider tip for this trend sport. But what actually distinguishes gravellers from racing cyclists? While you are tied to the paved roads with a road bike, the less aggressive geometry and profile of the tires on a gravel bike mean freedom, fun, adventure and nature experiences away from the busy roads. Around Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn lies a real alpine gravel road paradise with all kinds of variable tour options.

Infinite ranges
Austria's largest bike region offers excitement on the bike anyway. With the e-MTB boom, however, this tension is given a completely different meaning. The charging stations on the mountain are ready for use, the rental shops have increased their stock and all mountain bike paths and trails are of course also fully accessible for e-bikers. Specially designated e-bike routes are only tour tips that are particularly suitable for e-mountain bikers. Stop off, recharge and continue cycling is the motto when you conveniently recharge your bike in a hut while taking a short break to relax.

The offer is rounded off by the services specially tailored to bikers, such as bike shops, rental, bike schools, guiding and practice areas for beginners. And also in the accommodations, restaurants and huts, as a biker, you are a welcome guest everywhere.

News 2022

No off-season remains unused! In 2022 there will again be new lines & trails, improved infrastructure and bike-related news in Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn:

New line on the Schattberg – The fAIRy Line
Something is happening on the Schattberg! From summer 2022, riders looking for a change from the technical X-Line can look forward to the new fAIRy Line! As flowy as the panorama line, but with a little more airtime and optically as romantic as in fairyland.

New tour options in Fieberbrunn: Hochörndler Hütte and Hoametzl Runde
In addition to the trail offer, Fieberbrunn is an insider tip for pleasure bikers. The varied route network has now been expanded to include two attractive bike routes. From summer 2022, all enthusiastic bikers can tackle the "Hochhörndler Hütte 2020" tour in Fieberbrunn. The starting point of the tour is the Eiserne Hand inn in Fieberbrunn. From here you get past the "Screaming Fountain", a small waterfall, over the Hörndliger Graben to the Hochhörndler Hütte. The moderately difficult tour runs 6.3 kilometers along a forest road and climbs 740 meters in altitude. Once at the top, not only a wonderful view of the mountains awaits, but also a regional snack for all bikers!

The bike route to the Hoametzl hut is also new. The tour starts between the two regions of Fieberbrunn and Leogang - a perfect opportunity to take a trip up the mountain on the connecting route between Fieberbrunn and Leogang. From Hochfilzen, the "Hoametzl Runde 2015" runs over an asphalt road and then over a gravel forest path steadily uphill to the Hoametzl hut. Stop in and enjoy is the motto here. After a short relaxation of the biker's calves, it's time to "bite through" for a few meters in altitude before the highest point is reached and the descent begins. This tour is also marked as moderately difficult and leads uphill over 8.5 kilometers and 280 meters in altitude.

Keep the Bikepark Leogang clean
True to the motto "What you take up the mountain, you bring back down to the valley!", because Mother Nature can't do anything with our rubbish. This is also the basic idea of the "Roll-off instead of tear-off" campaign. In rainy weather there is therefore a replacement film for a roll-off system and a 10% voucher for 100% roll-off goggles at Sport Mitterer in Leogang when you buy the ticket. Tear offs are not allowed.

Easy Park Obingleitn
To get going, kids and adults can make their first experiences with waves and banked curves on the pump track and train their balance.
