Pats Peak Pond Skim Contest Scheduled For Saturday, March 26, 2022

Pats Peak announces its annual Pond Skim Contest on Saturday, March 26, 2022. Participants try to ski or snowboard across a man-made pond without falling in. Not all make it across and many take the icy plunge into the pond. There are prizes for Best Costume, Best Splash and Best Skim.

Pond Skim Registration is from 8:30am to 11:30am with the event starting at 1pm. The entry fee is free but the purchase of at least a Valley Area Lift Ticket or Pats Peak Season Pass and a costume is required to enter the contest. Entry is limited to the first 100 participants.

“This event is so much fun for everyone. A crowd forms around the pond to watch these skiers and snowboarders try to make their way across the pond. There are lots of laughs and cheers. The costumes are always a great addition to this fun event, says Sarah Demmons, Pats Peak Events Director.

Now is the time to buy a 2022/2023 Pats Peak Season Pass at the lowest rate. Purchase on or before April 15, 2022 for the 2022/2023 season for these rates. New Season Pass Holders can purchase their 2022/2023 pass in March and ski/ride through the Month of March 2022 FREE plus ALL of the 2022/2023 season. Season Passes can be purchased at Pats Peak Guest Services or online at patspeak.com.
