Othmar Kurath Joins The Lenzerheide Bergbahnen Management Board

Lenzerheide Bergbahnen AG (LBB AG) is reorganizing the management as of May 1, 2022. As Head of Lifts, Othmar Kurath will strengthen the existing management with Thomas Küng, Marco Bossi, Ariane Ehrat and Samuel Lorez. Othmar Kurath is a trained ropeway specialist and has been a member of the management team at LBB AG for many years. 

Lenzerheide Bergbahnen AG (LBB AG) will expand the management board to five people as of May 1, 2022. In addition to Thomas Küng (CEO), Marco Bossi (CFO), Ariane Ehrat (Head of Sales & Distribution) and Samuel Lorez (Head of Technology and Deputy CEO), Othmar Kurath is the new Head of Lifts on the executive committee. In the newly created position, he is responsible for all transport systems, which means that the large area of ​​responsibility and the high level of coordination and communication effort in the technical area is spread over several shoulders. Thomas Küng, CEO of LBB AG, is convinced that "in this new constellation, the management of LBB AG meets the needs and is powerful. 

As Head of Lifts, Othmar Kurath takes on and coordinates cross-departmental tasks for the three railway areas East, North and South. This includes, for example, procurement for the maintenance of the transport systems, the optimization of work processes, the training of ropeway mechatronics and also tasks in the area of ​​occupational safety. In his new position, he is also the contact person for authorities, takes on the planning and coordination of events and is responsible for budget and personnel planning in the technical area. 

In terms of the successor solution for Markus Imboden, who will retire in autumn 2022, Othmar Kurath will also be responsible for the new construction and conversion projects in the area of ​​the railway facilities. As Head of Technology, Samuel Lorez will continue to be responsible for Facility Management, Rescue, Assembly, Snowmaking and Garage. You will report to an experienced and well-trained team of department and team leaders.
