Sustainable Travel: Alta Badia Creates Incentives For Car Free Stay
Simply hand in the car keys at reception, pick up the advantage card and move around Alta Badia in a relaxed manner. "Stop, but enjoy!" is the name of the initiative with which the holiday region in South Tyrol motivates holidaymakers to make a contribution to environmental protection. The card offers discounts for events and excursions organized by the Alta Badia tourist office, discounted access to the biotope lake in Corvara and the high ropes course in Colfosco. Practical: With the Moovit app, guests always have the timetables for public transport and mountain railways with them.
A total of 19 lifts take tourists up the mountains and back down again. They even commute between the villages without CO2 or stress. With the Alta Badia Summer Card, all cable cars are included for 39 euros per day. If you want to take the "Stop, but enjoy!" benefits, leave the car for two days (if you stay three nights) and then get the car key back with a Ladin gift. The offers for sustainable mobility make an important contribution to CO2 savings.
Alta Badia wants to be climate-positive by 2030 and is aiming for Global Sustainable Tourism Council certification - for the highest social and environmental standards. www.altabadia.org
