The Pitztal is the benchmark in trail running in the Alps.
The infrastructure that has grown over the past ten years with camps, partner hotels, trail running map, trail running parkour, training routes and GPS data makes Pitztal a center of excellence for trail running. The stage trail run (with up to four overnight stays and luggage transport) is also becoming increasingly popular. The Run & Climb offer is new to the programme. With the running shoes to the start of the alpine climbing, of course accompanied by a mountain guide.

Sold out event for five years with the highlight over 105 kilometers
The Salomon Ultra - the supreme discipline over 105 kilometers and 6100 meters in altitude - starts in the night of August 5th and 6th, more precisely from 11 p.m. in the categories Elite, Ambitious and Leisure Run. The best complete the route in a good 13 hours. The absolute highlight is the P 45 - Glacier Trail, the highest marathon in the Alps, which leads over the Pitztal Glacier. There are seven competition classes in total. There is also an obstacle course for kids from the age of three.
But the trail event is not only a fixed point in the diary for the participants. A varied program awaits the guests for the 10th anniversary: Product tests from SALOMON, Adidas and other sports brands both in the Trail City Mandarfen and at Rifflsee with a breathtaking backdrop, Trail Food Festival with various food trucks and of course the European Trail Running Symposium on Friday.
"With the Trail Running Symposium, the year-round trail running destination Pitztal offers a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge in the field of trail running," says Gerhard Gstettner, Managing Director of the Pitztal Tourist Association. “We are not just event organizers, but like all good product providers, we also have the necessary expertise. We are thus offering another building block in our overall offer for trail runners and athletes.”
