Pillersee Nordic Cross Park Officially Opened
The cross-country skiing Cross Park Pillersee in Ortisei has been open since Christmas and offers a varied technical course in a playful way. This week the area was officially opened by Mayor Brigitte Lackner, TVB managing director Armin Kuen and the initiator Christoph Foidl from the St. Ulrich am Pillersee ski club.
The PillerseeTal has one more creative facet in its cross-country skiing offer. The region's first cross park has now been opened in St. Ulrich am Pillersee . At a total of 10 stations , children and the young at heart, experts and beginners can playfully venture through a course made up of a wide variety of obstacles. From a simple slalom between brightly colored hats to a rapid wave run and steep curve n to the practice area , the Cross Park Pillersee offers a lot of fun and variety at around 800 meters . Especially brave will be the "Hupfer" over the ski jump
Don't miss out, racers might even compete in pairs or thirds on the course - the lanes are definitely wide enough.
The newly created terrain is not only intended for beginners, but also for advanced cross-country skiers who want to improve their technique and stability in a playful way . “It's all about being playful and having fun. We want to give children and beginners a fun start and at the same time create a varied opportunity to improve technique and dexterity, ”explains initiator Christoph Foidl, who was also in charge of the implementation. The Cross Park Pillersee , right at the start of the cross- country ski trail in the Schwendt district, is to become a permanent facility, as TVB managing director Armin Kuen explains: “We are a family region and with the Cross Park Pillersee we have another great facility for family and cross-country skiing. The result is an attractive product that promotes fun in nature for guests and locals alike and that we want to continue to offer throughout the entire winter season in the future. ”For Mayor Brigitte Lackner, the Cross Park Pillersee is also a successful example of the great collaboration and the great commitment of the St. Ulrich am Pillersee ski club, which benefits locals and guests alike : “Thanks to the excellent cooperation between the ski club, the community and the tourist board, St. Ulrich am Pillersee has a great placevaluable highlight gained.
A big thank you goes to Christoph Foidl, who developed the idea and was in charge of the implementation with the St. Ulrich am Pillersee ski club.
