Mountain Hardwear Promotes Sablle Scheppmann To Director Of Sales
Mountain Hardwear, a leader in performance equipment and apparel for climbers, mountaineers, and athletes, has announced Sablle Scheppmann as the brand’s new Director of Sales. Having held the role of Mountain Hardwear’s national sales manager for the past three and half years, Scheppmann brings leadership experience and results to the position.
As National Sales Manager, Scheppman has helped Mountain Hardwear hone their focus over the past three years to put the brand’s specialty business first and make smart decisions for its dealer base. The results have been staggering with U.S. wholesale growth projected to be over 63 percent year-over-year at the end of 2021.
“Sablle is a passionately driven sales leader with the customer focused intuition that will serve our brand momentum well,” said Troy Sicotte, President of Mountain Hardwear. “Her leadership style, collaboration cross-functionally, deep connection to the marketplace, inspiring work with Outdoor Industry leadership groups and endless drive will continue to take our brand to new heights.”
Prior to joining Mountain Hardwear in 2018, Scheppmann was the western regional sales manager at Nathan Sports where she managed key accounts such as REI and Backcountry.com, developed, and led sales initiatives.
Over the past few years, Scheppmann has expanded her involvement and education within the outdoor industry. In 2021, she held the position of Board Chair of the Future Leadership Alumni Group (FLAG), the Alumni Board for the Future Leadership Academy; currently, Scheppmann is working with the program’s original founder – and three other women – to relaunch the program in 2022. Scheppmann is also a graduate of the OIA Skip Yowell Future Leadership Academy as well as a volunteer Sighted Guide for the United States Association of Blind Athletes.
“The momentum Mountain Hardwear has had in the past few years is no accident,” said Scheppmann. “It is a unique time for the brand and I am excited to take on and lead the Mountain Hardwear sales team both internally and externally to ensure we continue down the successful path we are on. We are working hard to put dealers first and I’m confident we are just getting started with the best yet to come!”
