Yeti Joins Freeride World Tour 2023 Xtreme Verbier Stop As Title Sponsor

Freeride World Tour 2023 (FWT) is thrilled to announce YETI – a leading premium outdoor brand – as the official sponsor of FWT23 Xtreme Verbier. YETI, who was already a FWT partner, will increase its level of support, with the event now called YETI Xtreme Verbier to reflect the company’s contribution in helping this iconic event take place. YETI was named the official sustainability partner of Freeride World Tour in 2021 and will now also serve as title sponsor of the YETI Xtreme Verbier and the YETI Junior Freeride World Championships.

Established in North America in 2006, YETI is a global designer, retailer, and distributor of innovative outdoor products, such as coolers, drinkware and bags.

The company shares many values with FWT, making it the perfect partner for the YETI Xtreme Verbier event. YETI places a strong emphasis on supporting outdoor pursuits and communities around the world, implementing partnerships and sponsorships to help conserve wild spaces. This is apparent in YETI’s ESG strategy, which also extends to working to implement more sustainable practices when developing ‘outdoor-proof’ products that are designed to withstand the harsh environments FWT athletes and staff, as well as outdoor enthusiasts enjoy frequently. The brand also establishes lasting relationships with its ambassadors – rather than just supporting performances – as seen in its long-term sponsorship of two FWT legends, Cody Townsend and Jeremy Jones.

“We are stoked to grow our partnership with YETI, both for the FWT Finals in Verbier and for FWT Junior events. YETI’s premium involvement and ongoing activity in outdoor sports sets a benchmark for the industry, and we are excited to grow freeriding together.” Nicolas Hale-Woods, CEO, Freeride World Tour

“The ski and snow communities run deep to YETI’s core, and we couldn’t be more excited to support them as the title sponsor of the Verbier stop and the official sustainability partner of the tour. We look forward to helping eliminate single use plastic during upcoming events to ensure we keep the wild, wild and expect this year’s competition to be some of the fiercest yet.” Paulie Dery, CMO at YETI
