Vail Mountain Partners With Fine Art Photographer Gray Malin To Celebrate The Resort’s 60th Anniversary

Vail Mountain’s 60th Anniversary season is focused on bringing the legendary resort’s vintage Vail emotions to the forefront, and its collaboration with fine art photographer Gray Malin rounds out a sensory experience for guests and fans to relish.

Vail Mountain is known for effortless fun and energy around every turn, and that spirit comes to life in Gray Malin’s new vintage inspired photo collection Gray Malin in Vail.

The fine art photography series is the second installment of Gray Malin’s Vail collection, and focuses on recreating classic and inspiring historic photos from the resort. In a modern but vintage aesthetic that is unique to Gray Malin, this series breathes new life into these nostalgic Vail Mountain moments. Diving deep into the Vail Mountain archives for inspiration, Gray Malin produced a fine art series that guests will love 

Gray Malin in Vail transports you to the picturesque mountain scenery of the beloved ski resort through a timeless lens. Featuring vintage fashion from the 1960-1980s, stylish retro gear, and legendary locations including the Back Bowls and Eagle’s Nest, this series is full of après-ski celebrations, snowy adventures, and awe-inspiring views that evoke nostalgia for the alpine lifestyle.

The vintage fine art photography series called Gray Malin in Vail will launch on Jan.17, 2023. Prior to that, only Vail Mountain guests can get an exclusive first look at Bistro 14, now an on-mountain, fine art experience featuring Gray Malin’s Vail collection. In this new concept, Bistro 14 will feature new cocktails inspired by Gray Malin’s modern vintage aesthetic.

Vail Mountain will also be celebrating its 60th birthday during the Birthday Bash from Dec. 15-18, 2022. The resort will be celebrating with free concerts including headliners SunSquabi, Marvel Years and Boot Juice at Solaris Plaza. The celebration will kick-off with a complimentary champagne toast and DJ set featuring Cauldron at the Eagle’s Nest Ice Bar on Thursday, Dec. 15. For full details visit vail.com.
