BlackStrap Partners With USASA
BlackStrap, the leading made-in-the-USA manufacturer of face gear, base layers, and accessories for winter sports, anglers, and outdoor recreationists has become a primary sponsor and bib-supplier for the United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association (USASA) events and competitions.
“We are incredibly excited to partner with USASA as a sponsor and competition bib supplier,” said Jim Sanco, Brand Manager of BlackStrap. “We pride ourselves heavily on our deep roots in freeskiing and riding and are honored to be involved in supplying the new and next generation of talent in the sport.”
BlackStrap is well-known for the quality of its products and for the prioritization of USA manufacturing. The brand’s textiles are milled in the USA, in addition to the finished products being designed, printed, and sewn domestically, ultimately closing the full loop for a made-in-the-USA product. Recognized as the leader in the development of Snowboard and Freeski competitions, USASA is pleased to have found a brand in BlackStrap that goes the extra yard in producing American products for its homegrown talent.
"Working with Blackstrap as our bib provider for this year's USASA regional event series and National Championships has been amazing,” said Mike Mallon, Executive Director of USASA. “Our competitors and members are stoked and it's super important for us to work with a brand like BlackStrap who understands and is passionate about the freeski and snowboard space, and is committed to making products in the US."
USASA is a California-based nonprofit organization that is represented by 32 regional series across the USA. USASA is made up of over 5,000 athlete members and 600+ coaches and officials. USASA hosts 500+ Snowboard and Freeski events annually at approximately 120 ski resorts in the U.S. The USASA National Championship is the largest snowboard and freeskiing event in the world and has been held consistently by the USASA for 29 years. The USASA is the first step in the Olympic pipeline for snowboarding and freeskiing.
