FIS & Neveplast Team Up
With many skiing resorts looking to expand skiing and snowboarding operations beyond winter, artificial snow surfaces have become increasingly popular. Now, FIS has teamed up with Neveplast.
Neveplast Italia was born in 1998 thanks to the great enthusiasm for alpine skiing of its founders: Aldo, Edoardo and Niccolò Bertocchi. Using patented techonology, Neveplast’s mission is to realize ski slopes made from synthetic materials that guarantee the sensation of skiing and snowboarding on a layer of compact snow. To date more than 2100 installations have been put in place around the world.
The partnership with Neveplast will focus on a new project called the “SnowKidz Shred Parks”. The SnowKidz Shred Parks will be a free tool for registered SnowKidz Organisers to make bringing children to the snow easier. Each Shred Park will be portable and features in the park can be used in both winter and summer.
FIS Bring Children to the Snow Coordinator Andrew Cholinski commented “We have wanted to bring the SnowKidz Shred Parks to life for a while now. Partnering with Neveplast will now make this happen, we are honored to be working with them.”
Neveplast CEO Niccolò Bertocchi added “Our mission and our dream has always been to make skiing and winter sports accessible to everyone, regardless of the season, location, and weather conditions. We achieve this by creating ski slopes in Urban areas. Neveplast has always believed in and promoted the concept of Urban Skiing as an excellent tool to create new Snowsports lovers. We are very proud that FIS chose us to be a partner in the "SnowKidz" project. Children who put their skis on the Neveplast for the first time can't wait to go skiing on real snow!”
