Courchevel Readying For Women’s Alpine Skiing World Cup

The Women's Alpine Skiing World Cup is a flagship event which kick starts the winter season of thrilling competitive skiing in Courchevel. The season ends with a magnificent finale – the Ski World Cup, which takes place between 14 to 20 March 2022.

On December 21, the 12th anniversary of the Women's Alpine Skiing World Cup, Courchevel will host a giant event on the slopes of the Emile Allais stadium.

The race is perfectly suited to the resort, challenging these leading ladies of the sport, and inspiring their dreams of winning this prestigious competition. This winter once more promises a fierce battle, featuring Slovakia's Petra Vhlova, the reigning world champion, and American Mikaela Shiffrin, who made a triumphant comeback last winter, winning for her fifth time in Courchevel. Also taking part are the Italian champion, Federica Brignone, and our own French champion, Tessa Worley, both of whom will be eager for victory.

Courchevel holds a coveted place in the international alpine ski calendar thanks to the outstanding quality of its stadium which has been upgraded over the last few years. In 2019 the track benefited from a major remodeling with the creation of a steep slope. In 2020, the stadium continued its transformation with the lighting of the track and the installation of cameras. And this winter, the Sports Club is moving to a new location at the foot of the slalom stadium: Ineos Club House Courchevel.

Ineos Club House at the base of the Emile Allais Stadium, overlooks Courchevel village. Its unique location makes it the ideal place to host the Courchevel Sports Club, the best ski club in France, where among other champions, Alexis Pinturault, honed his skills.
