A special time of the year - that is the "Magical Advent" in the PillerseeTal. Peace and serenity on the first days of winter, the beauty of the landscape around the Pillersee, numerous traditional events - “The magic of the pre-Christmas season” covers the PillerseeTal.

The nights are getting longer , the snowflakes are gently falling on the fields and Christmas is not far away ! In order to shorten the waiting for the Christ Child, the traditional events in the PillerseeTal region invite you to come, be amazed and linger. In the midst of the wonderful winter landscape, the covered slopes of the surrounding mountains and the snow-covered peaks, the most beautiful time of the year is traditionally sweetened in December with homemade biscuits, hot mulled wine and delicious roasted almonds. Candlelight and fire bowls, storytellers and sage blowers bring contemplative moments. Homeliness and romance as before, in front of a dreamy mountain backdrop.

The Pillerseetal people love Advent. Always. Each of the five villages - Fieberbrunn, Hochfilzen, St. Jakob in Haus, St. Ulrich am Pillersee and Waidring - with a total of around 10,000 inhabitants, nestling against the mountains in the middle of the Kitzbühel Alps, has its own special traditions and customs. The magical Advent in PillerseeTal builds on this and opens its doors for the third time this year. Half the valley is dedicated to make it a little more beautiful. Even more atmospheric, even more homely. Just perfect.

Romantic Christkindldorf on the lake

Flickering candlelight, dancing snowflakes, crackling fire and the spicy scent of waffles, punch and mulled wine: the Christkindldorf on the Pillersee enchants young and old visitors with its incomparable Tyrolean charm. On two weekends in December , the snow-covered lakeshore of St. Ulrich am Pillersee in the easternmost part of the Kitzbühel Alps is transformed into a romantic Advent market with rustic huts and traditional Christmas rites and customs. In the light of candles, torches and fire bowls , you can enjoy various Christmas delicacies , while the historical tune-blowers and anklöpfler musically get in the mood for the "staade time". Artisans show their craftsmanship and offer their works for sale. It becomes particularly contemplative when storytellers enchant with fairy tales and myths. There is a special program and a petting zoo for children, while the parents can take their time to buy a Christmas present or two.

The Christkindldorf is on weekends 4th / 5th. December and 11th / 12th December open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
