Le M de Megeve Ready For Clients

Le M de Megève, 5* hotel, with typical Savoyard architecture is located in the heart of the village of Megève, a unique and authentic ski resort.

Ideally located in the heart of the picturesque pedestrian area, just near the famous Monseigneur Conseil street and the Chamois gondola, the hotel blends perfectly into the décor of this Alpine village...

THE SPIRIT OF LE M

Buildinvest, a major operator in building renovation, has taken on the challenge of this ambitious architectural project of Le M de Megève of refurbishing its original 1980’s structure.

The traditional architecture of the hotel was built by local Savoyard companies using local materials like stones from the mountains, spruce and larch. …In this exceptional setting, everything is dedicated to create a true oasis of well-being at the foot of the Mont Blanc blending luxury, taste and discretion The interior decoration, work of Alain Perrier, the famous Savoyard architect who brilliantly uses traditional and contemporary styles, creates an elegant mixture of styles and volumes. His previous work includes:

• Boutique Mauboussin

• L’aigle des Neiges in Val d’Isère

• Golf Royal Mougins, etc.

Perrier said “ I like to look to the past to find inspiration for a project, recreate the volumes and look for appropriate innovative concepts for different areas, while adding a touch of the unusual”

At Le M de Megève, Alain Perrier ’s world turns around many inspirations. The architect plays with contrasts: the black and the white, the raw leather in the bar furniture and the soft woollen sheets. He particular works with materials creating the huge stone fireplace or using the harmony of old wood and riveted sheet metal. Even the furniture is a subtle blend of vintage and contemporary. For example the steel wire Bertoia chairs warmed by the woollen rugs and cushions.

Partner with the historic Savoyard Spinning and Weaving Mill, La Filature Arpin, has created for Le M de Megève an original and exclusive cloth which uses its famous « surjet point échelle »for the hotel’s curtains, rugs and cushions, all in the same tones : orange, charcoal grey and ash.
