Laax Vorab Glacier Opens Saturday 6 November 2021

Laax, has announced its Winter Season 2021/22 will be launching on Saturday 6 November 2021, with the opening on the Vorab glacier.

Snowboarders and skiers have two slopes to hit as the resort opens this weekend, and in true Laax style, freestylers hungry for snow won’t miss out either, as they’ll be able to enjoy a small but fine snow park offering.

The Vorab and Capalari restaurants on the Crap Sogn Gion invites guests back to dine and relax after a day on the mountains.

Slopes opening include number 32 and 33 on the Vorab glacier from 6 November across the weekend. The following systems at the resort will also be in operation:

  • Laax Murschetg - Crap Sogn Gion cable car and the Vorab glacier lift.
  • The Crap Masegn cable car and the Crap Masegn - Fuorcla and Fuorcla - Vorab gondola lifts are in operation as feeders.
  • Weekend operations start at the Laax valley station and start at 8.30 a.m.
  • Last descent from the Crap Sogn Gion is at 4.30 p.m.
  • Current Covid-19 regulations, as implemented in the summer, apply to all railway systems, queuing situations and in restaurants.

Lift tickets are available via the web shop, the Inside Laax app and on site at the mountain railway ticket office and are not limited.

Some aspects of the autumn offering will be closed due to the expected amount of snow in lower elevations, all bike trails are closed for the time being, however, if it's still a bit early for winter sports, visitors can comfortably take the Flims - Foppa chairlift to the top of the mountain and enjoy the last days of autumn on a walk. Lifts are in operation Thursday through Sunday from 9am to 4.30pm until 28 November 2021. The mountain restaurant Foffa and the Casa Berendi also welcome visitors for refreshments.

Dynamic prices now apply to all online and all offline channels. More information on weekend operations is available at https://www.flimslaax.com/en.
