Eleven Experience Launches New Heli-ski Adventures In British Columbia, Canada And On The French - Italian Border

Bespoke adventure specialist and ski expert Eleven Experience will be launching two incredible heli-ski offerings this winter season, in British Columbia and on the French-Italian border. Launching for the first time in Canada, Eleven Experience guests now have access to some of the best heli-skiing in the world.

Eleven Experience will exclusively partner with Kingfisher Heli to guide guests through terrain of unimaginable beauty, filled with deep powder from 15 December 2021 – taking this heli-ski experience in British Columbia to new levels. Snow chasers can expect a full-service offering with unparalleled access, acres of untouched powder, expert guides, and exquisite service. With more than 300,000 acres of some of the most sought-after terrain, covering the Central Monashees, the Pinnacles and the awe-inspiring Valhalla Mountains, the landscape is outstanding.  It is renowned for its consistent snowfall, light-low-density powder and exceptional conditions. There is also a vast diversity of terrain, from sweeping expanses of untouched snow to open alpine bowls, steep chutes and perfectly spaced old-growth forest.

The Eleven Experience team will create customised, daily itineraries for each group, tailored to suit exacting capabilities. Guests will check into Halcyon Hot Springs Resort – a remote sanctuary with a choice of 11 guest suites nestled in the woods.  Each room is equipped with heated floors and electric fireplaces. In between action-packed days on the slopes, guests can enjoy natural hot springs and pools, a gym, yoga areas, sauna, and spa access with private treatment rooms to unwind and relax in after a day on the slopes. Carefully crafted dishes featuring fresh, locally sourced items, farm-raised meats and delicious cocktails are available and can be enjoyed whilst absorbing picturesque views of Upper Arrow Lake and Monashee Mountain.

Meanwhile in France, skiers staying with Eleven Experience at Chalet Hibou and/or Chalet Pelerin from 2 January 2022 onwards will have access to a brand new heli-ski experience, offering guests the opportunity to ski different terrain each day – starting in Italy and making their way across the border back to France. As with all Eleven Experience offerings, guests can expect unbeatable service including pre-holiday planning, tailored itineraries, expert guides, exquisite service and the very best boutique accommodation.

Set in the heart of the French Alps, Chalet Hibou and Chalet Pelerin are the ultimate, stylish bases for winter sports.  They sit on the French-Italian border, in the stunning Tarentaise Valley and are the local’s best-kept secret!  A haven for adventurous travellers, there is a vast winter playground on the doorstep waiting to be explored and the endless piste and off-piste world-class skiing means guests will never have to repeat a run. The expertly created daily itineraries allow for exceptional skiing with the chalet’s proximity to the Italian border providing guests the opportunity to fly across to Italy for heli-skiing, whilst Sainte Foy, Val d’Isere, Tignes, Les Arcs and La Rosière ski resorts are all within a 30-minute drive of the chalet.

Whilst heli-skiing is the main event, guests can also try their hand at Nordic skiing, ice climbing, snow shoeing, sledding, ski-touring and cross-country skiing with Eleven’s guides tailoring each activity to suit beginner to advanced level. In between border hopping, guests can refuel with a gourmet, three-course Italian lunch before embarking on a sunset ski back to the Chalet doors to end the day with a glass ofBordeaux and local cheese to toast an epic adventure.  Guests also have the option to add on an extra ski or snowshoe adventure up to The Alpage, Eleven’s private sheep herder’s hut turned mountain outpost. The Eleven team will create a unique après-ski party, carving seats out from the snow so guests can gather around the bonfire before moving indoors for a candlelit feast of savoyarde specialties suchas fondue and raclette cooked by the chalet’s resident chef.

Alongside the winter sports and adventures, Chalet Pelerin and Chalet Hibou are a dream for guests wishing to explore the local area. They sit high up in the historic mountain village of Le Miroir – a remote farming village with just 30 full-time residents. Led by Eleven’s team of expert guides, who know every peak and trail, guests can explore the region’s centuries-old churches, waterfalls, and sapphire blue lakes and come sundown, recharge in the freshwater pool and enjoy a glass of wine overlooking panoramic views. Both chalets are idealfor groups of friends or family looking for privacy and are available exclusively as individual chalets or combined for larger groups.   Guests can choose to arrive at Chalet Pelerin and Chalet Hibou by car, private helicopter, plane, or train.
