TechnoAlpin Secures Major Contract In Courmayeur Mont Blanc
When it comes to snowmaking, the Italian ski resort of Courmayeur Mont Blanc will be relying on TechnoAlpin expertise in the future. The world market leader recently secured the biggest Italian contract in the company's history. The existing snowmaking system in operation on more than 70% of the Courmayeur slopes is to be modernized and extended over the next 3 years. A total of 5.7 million euros will be invested in technical snowmaking for this large-scale project.

State-of-the-art technology and pioneering innovations
A total of three pumping stations will be installed in the ski resort as part of this project. There will also be a compressor station, 11 km of pipelines and 181 new pit valves. The snow guns on the slopes will also be renewed and expanded: From now on, 145 new machines will provide optimal snow coverage on the Courmayeur slopes. In future, the entire system will be controlled and managed using TechnoAlpin control software, which will be extended to the entire snowmaking system, including the existing snow guns.
The first stage of the build began in the summer of 2021 involving the installation of 6.7 km of water, power and data lines and the modernization of 256 snow shafts. The entire project is scheduled for completion in 2023.
