SWIX Announces First Episode In Year-Long Tuned In Podcast & Video Series
On Wednesday, June 23 at 8:00 am EDT Swix will debut the first video in their Tuned In podcast and video series on their brand’s YouTube channel. The series will be kicked off with an in-depth interview with Olympic Gold Medalist, and Swix athlete, Jessie Diggins. Diggins joins the series host, Peter Graves, to discuss all things ski racing including past events, training, and the Olympic season to come.
Peter Graves is a long-time sports broadcaster and announcer who brings decades of experience to the series. Graves has worked extensively with NBC covering Olympic Games and other international sporting events. “In all my years of sports announcing, including 11 Olympic Games, what I enjoy the most is the opportunity to interview athletes, especially in a long form format,” says Graves. “I’m curious by nature and every athlete has a story, most of them both fascinating and moving, and I love to go beyond your average sound bit into something much more revealing. I hope to give the listener a much more textured personal portrait of why someone dedicates their lives to the sport.”
The Tuned In series, which will feature one episode per month, is designed to offer consumers and ski fans a deeper look at Swix athletes (both Nordic and Alpine), technical aspects of waxing and tuning, and behind the scenes looks at the company itself. “We have a tremendous story to tell,” says SWIX US President Steven Poulin. “We’re constantly searching for the best way to tell it to our customers and are excited to enter what is for us a new medium—podcasting.”
The next episode in the series, which will go live in late July will be a conversation between Graves and one of Swix’s premier alpine athletes.
