Leoganger Bergbahnen GmbH Holds 50th General Assembly

The 50th General Assembly of Leoganger Bergbahnen GmbH recently took place in the Hotel Krallerhof. In addition to the presentation of the 2019/2020 financial year, changes to the management and the supervisory board were also on the agenda.

Despite the abrupt end on March 15, the 19/20 winter season could still be concluded with a little black eye, and the summer 2020 recorded positive development despite a delayed start of the season. It has been shown again that the investments and offers in the direction of year-round operation were the right decision and are well received by the locals and guests even in difficult times. The 2019/20 financial year could still be closed with a slight plus. Unfortunately, this cannot be said about the past winter, since with a decline in sales of - 90% one has to speak of a total economic failure and the state aid must be described as absolutely necessary. Nevertheless, there was a great winter offer for all local families,

The summer season got off to a positive start on May 8th and we are confident that the rest of the summer will also work without major restrictions. In the course of the general assembly, new elections were also pending for the supervisory board and management. Sebastian Madreiter resigned as managing director after 19 years at his own request and Anton Hörl, already a long-standing member of the supervisory board, was elected by the shareholders with unanimous consent in the position of 2nd managing director. Chairman Dr. Alois Navara. In the constituent supervisory board meeting, Ing. Johann Riedlsperger was unanimously elected as the new chairman.

Dr. Alois Navara and Sebastian Madreiter have helped to shape and shape the positive development of the Leogang mountain railways for decades. The technical expansion of the Asitzmulde, the construction of storage ponds and the large-scale project for the new Steinbergbahn have been implemented positively in the last 20 years. Of course, the developments in summer have also been implemented and perfected in these years. Many ideas and the visionary and open access to new developments and projects can in any case be mentioned as one of the valuable characteristics of both, in addition to the undisputed professional qualities.
