Smith Supports INEOS Team UK

Led by Principal and Skipper, Sir Ben Ainslie – the most successful Olympic sailor of all time – the INEOS TEAM UK boasts a crew of some of the world’s best and most experienced sailors, who are currently leading the British challenge for the 36th America’s Cup in New Zealand beginning on March 6.

The team selected Smith to provide the technical equipment needed to compete in the extreme conditions and challenges of the sea by customizing its collection of helmets and goggles for life on the water. Smith stays true to its vision of pioneering advanced products by also outfitting the team in its proprietary ChromaPopTM lens technology used in the sunglasses and goggles worn by the INEOS TEAM UK on and off the boat.

“When sailing around at speeds of over 90kmph, we need complete confidence in the equipment we are wearing as conditions on board can be incredibly testing for even the most robust headgear,” said Ainslie.
